ROGUE COP

It's Detective Dan Kelly, Rogue Cop and Dark Prince of the City. This satirical novel was written behind bars in a maximum security prison by a real rogue cop, GJ Schaefer, who was a deputy sheriff when he was convicted of a double murder in 1973. Before being murdered in prison himself, Schaefer wrote this spoof of the sensational crime tabloid genre, basing his campy characters on real people who had played a role in his life.
